Uses

Sucralfate Topical is generally used in treatment of burns, diaper rash, mouth sores and piles
Povidone Iodine is generally used in prevention of infections.
Ornidazole Topical is generally used in treatment of the treatment of bacterial skin infections. It is generally used in treatment of vaginal infections.

Povidone Iodine is an antiseptic drug. It treacts the affected area of the body and reduces the irritation.
Ornidazole Topical is an antibiotic. It makes the condition better by damaging the DNA to kill the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections.

Being disinfectant and antiseptic Povidone Iodine inhibits the growth and development of microorganisms.

Q. Does Povidone Iodine burn, stain, sting or hurt?
Topical application of Povidone Iodine may cause slight irritation. Temporary staining of affected area is also possible. However, it is not a matter of concern and gets resolved quickly

Povidone Iodine is safe when used at a prescribed dosage and prescribed term as advised by the physician

Povidone Iodine should not be used on teeth. It should be used externally.

Q. Is Ornidazole Topical same as metronidazole?
Ornidazole Topical and metronidazole are two different drugs belonging to the same class. However, they may have different indications. Please follow your doctor's advice regarding its use

Q. Is Ornidazole Topical carcinogenic?
There are no reports suggesting the potential of ornidazole to cause cancer.
  • Apply a small amount of Povidone Iodine solution to the affected area after cleaning it properly.The affected area can be left uncovered or covered with a sterile bandage.If you experience a skin rash, hives, or itching, or any other unusual reaction after using this product, discontinue use and contact your doctor as soon as possible.Povidone Iodine cutaneous spray powder is meant for external application and should not be instilled in eyes, nose, or mouth.Do not use the Povidone Iodine solution on large parts of the body for more than a week unless advised by your doctor.Seek doctor’s advice before use if injuries are deep or puncture wounds or serious burns.
