Uses

Linagliptin is generally used in treatment of the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is generally used in treatment of addition to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes.

Side effects

  • Headache
  • Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar level) in combination with insulin or sulphonylurea
  • Nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the throat and nasal passages)

How to use

Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Linagliptin, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Linagliptin is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.

Linagliptin is an anti-diabetic drug. It increases the release of insulin from pancreas and decreases the harmones that raise blood glucose levels to make the condition better. This reduces the pre-meal and postmeal blood sugar levels.
