How to use
Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Ritodrine, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Ritodrine is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.Avoid Ritodrine with alkaline foods such as lemon, capsicum, garlic and other green leafy vegetables.
How it works
Ritodrine is a beta-2 agonist. It works on the receptors present in the muscles of the uterus. This eases contraction of these muscles and relaxes them, thereby preventing premature delivery.

- Caution is to be used if you are suffering from cardiac diseases, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, hypokalemia and diabetes mellitus.High doses of Ritodrine might cause hypokalemia in patients taking corticosteroids, diuretics (acetazalamide, loop diuretics and thiazides) or theophylline. Your blood pressure and pulse rate may be monitored while on Ritodrine treatment.Avoid over-hydration while taking Ritodrine.Stop taking this medicine and you may advised to use ?–blocker as an antidote in case of drug overdose.
