Uses
Linezolid is generally used in treatment of the treatment of severe bacterial infections. It is generally used in treatment for the treatment of bacterial infections of lungs (Pneumonia), and some infections in or under the skin.

How to use
Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Linezolid, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Linezolid is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.Avoid Linezolid with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
How it works
Linezolid is an antibiotic. It makes the condition better and the bacterial growth is stopped by blocking the supply of essential proteins needed by the bacteria to harm the body.

- Your doctor has prescribed Linezolid to cure your infection and improve your symptoms.Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat.Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.Avoid eating cheese, processed meats, alcohol, or soy sauce as these may raise your blood pressure.Inform your doctor if you develop fever, shortness of breath, or any changes in your vision.
