Sulfasalazine is generally used in treatment of ankylosing spondylitis, Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis and ulcerative colitis

How to use

Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Sulfasalazine, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Sulfasalazine is to be taken with food.

How it works

Sulfasalazine improves the condition by blocking the action of chemical messengers that cause swelling, inflammation and redness that are associated with some autoimmune diseases. Instead of simply treating the disease, it actually reduces the effect of underlyiperty which helps prevent bacterial growth.

This is normal and not harmful.Regular blood tests to monitor your liver function, kidney function, and the levels of your blood components are required while taking this medicine.
