1. What is PEGICOL?
PEGICOLis an iso-osmotic laxative used in the treatment of chronic constipation and fecal impaction. 

2. How does it work?
PEGICOL contains the active ingredient polyethylene glycol 3350 (PEG 3350). It retains water in the intestine, thus easing bowel movements. In addition, PEGICOL also contains electrolytes, which help to prevent the loss of essential minerals from the body.  

3. How should PEGICOL be taken?
PEGICOL is available in powder form and it should be dissolved in water and taken orally.  Drinking the correct amount of fluid with PEGICOL is important, to ensure water is retained in the intestine.   

4. What dose of PEGICOL is needed to treat chronic constipation in adults?
