Uses

Ofloxacin is generally used in treatment of the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).
Lactobacillus is generally used in treatment of diarrhoea, diarrhoea associated with antibiotics and infectious diarrhoea
Ornidazole is generally used in treatment of bacterial infections and parasitic infections It is generally used in treatment of infections of the brain, reproductive system, gastrointestinal tract, skin, vagina, and other areas of the body.

How to use

Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Ofloxacin, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Ofloxacin is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.

How it works

Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It prevents the division & repair of baterial cells thereby killing them to make the condition better.
Lactobacillus is a probiotic. It makes the condition better by restoring the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset after antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.
Ornidazole is an antibiotic. It makes the condition better by damaging the DNA of the bacteria and prevents the division & repair of baterial cells that cause infections

Ofloxacin is used to treat bacterial infections of the kidneys or bladder (urinary tract), chest or lungs, male or female sex organs (genital tract) which include gonorrhea, a sexually transmitted infection that can affect both men and women, and skin and soft tissue infections.

Yes, Ornidazole is an antibiotic and is a nitroimidazole derivative. It is active against anaerobic organisms and microbes like giardia, entamoeba, and trichomonas. Consult your doctor before taking any antibiotics for your infections.

Q. How long does Ornidazole take to work?
After oral administration, Ornidazole is rapidly absorbed and takes less than three hours to reach peak concentrations in the blood. It is well distributed in the tissues.
  • Your doctor has prescribed Ofloxacin to cure your infection and improve symptoms.Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.Discontinue Ofloxacin and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.Notify your doctor if you feel pain in your tendons, numbness, or tingling sensations.Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
  • Avoid taking Lactobacillus along with steroids (medications that weaken the immune system) as they might increase the chances of getting sick.Notify your doctor if you are pregnant.Notify your doctor if you are breast-feeding.Take Lactobacillus at least 2 hours before or after antibiotics. This is because taking Lactobacillus along with the antibiotics can reduce their effectiveness.Â
  • Always take the complete course of treatment, as advised by your doctor even if you feel better.It may cause side effects like nausea, stomach upset, and a metallic taste in the mouth.If you are using Ornidazole in a high dose or for a prolonged time, there is a risk of more side effects, like nerve damage.You should not drink alcohol during or for 48 hours after treatment. You may develop nausea, vomiting, flushing and headache if you take it together.Inform your doctor if you have a liver disease. Your dose may need to be adjusted in severe liver disease.
