Hydrocortisone Topical is generally used in treatment of the treatment of allergy symptoms.
Hydroquinone is generally used in treatment of the treatment of melasma.
Tretinoin Topical is generally used in treatment of the treatment of acne.

How to use

Hydroquinone is meant for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. For directions before use, please check the label. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

How it works

Hydrocortisone Topical is a steroid. It blocks the production of some chemical messengers that cause inflammation, redness, swlling & other allergies in the body thereby improving the condition.
Hydroquinone is a skin lightening drug that lightens the skin by lowering the amount of melanin which causes darkening of skin.
Tretinoin Topical treates acne by slowing down the production of natural body chemicals and reducing them.
Q. Is Hydrocortisone Topical safe?
Hydrocortisone Topical is safe when used at prescribed dose and duration as advised by your doctor

Q. Is Hydrocortisone Topical good for ringworm, cold sores, haemorrhoids, scars or burns?
No. Hydrocortisone Topical is contraindicated in any condition where the skin is infected or inflamed or has an open wound

Q. Does Hydrocortisone Topical help in eczema, acne, hives, dry skin and thrush?
Hydrocortisone Topical relieves the itching associated with eczema and local swelling and itching associated with hives. It should not be used in acne, dry skin and thrush.

Q. Is Hydroquinone safe/good for skin?
Yes. Hydroquinone is used to bleach dark patches of skin. It is available as creams to be applied externally and is safe if used as directed, for the prescribed duration by your doctor. Occasionally it may cause side effects-red, sore, itchy, inflamed skin indicating an allergic reaction. Please contact your doctor immediately if you notice any such skin reactions

No.Hydroquinone does not have a structure or effect similar to steroids

No. Hydroquinone has no known effect on bleaching clothes

Q. Does Hydroquinone make skin darker?
Hydroquinone may cause blue-black darkening of skin. This is not the normal effect of Hydroquinone. Discontinue use and contact your doctor immediately if you notice darkening of skin upon use of Hydroquinone

No. Hydroquinone is used to bleach or lighten dark patches of skin. It has no known effect in the treatment of acne

Occasionally Hydroquinone may cause side effects – redness of skin, sore, itchy, inflamed skin indicating an allergic reaction. Please contact your doctor immediately if you notice any such skin reactions.

Q. Is Tretinoin Topical a steroid/ retin a/ retin a/ a retinoid/retinol?
Tretinoin Topical is not a steroid. It is a form of vitamin A (Retin-A) and belongs to a group of medications called as ‘retinoids'. Tretinoin and retinol are similar but tretinoin tends to be a bit more aggressive than retinol which is a bit more suitable for those with sensitive skin

Q. Is tretinoin cream safe?
If taken in prescribed doses and duration Tretinoin is safe. For children younger than 12 years the gel form should be used with extreme caution.

Q. Does tretinoin cream work/ is tretinoin cream good for acne/acne scars/lighten skin/thin the skin/work on wrinkles/fade dark spots/clog pores/cause breakouts?
Tretinoin is effective in treating skin conditions including acne, scars, fade dark spots, removing wrinkles, clog pores and skin lightening. This medication does not cause breakouts instead it helps the skin heal.

Q. Is tretinoin available over the counter?
You can buy Tretinoin only with a doctor's prescription.
  • Please use Hydroquinone products carefully. Its skin bleaching action may produce unwanted cosmetic effects if not used as directed.Use of sunscreen is a must while using Hydroquinone. Avoid unnecessary sun exposures and cover the treated areas with clothing. Even minimal exposure to sunlight can reverse the bleaching effect of Hydroquinone.Discontinue use and contact your doctor immediately if you develop allergic skin reaction or notice blue-black darkening of skin upon use of Hydroquinone. Hydroquinone creams are meant for external use on the skin only. Immediately wash-off with water, if the cream gets into your eyes, nose, mouth, or on your lips.Do not use Hydroquinone creams on broken, irritated or injured skin.Do not use Hydroquinone creams with other creams that contain peroxides (hydrogen peroxide/benzoyl peroxide). This may produce a dark stain on your skin which can be removed by stopping the use of peroxides and washing with soap and water.Do not use Hydroquinone creams with other creams that contain resorcinol, phenol, or salicylic acid unless advised by your doctor.Please check, if the Hydroquinone cream contains sulfites. Such products may trigger allergic reactions in individuals with asthma.You may be advised by your doctor to perform a skin sensitivity test to avoid any allergic reaction.Do consult your doctor before using Hydroquinone, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Apply a thin layer of Tretinoin Topical once daily, before bedtime, to the affected area of skin.You may experience mild skin irritation on applying Tretinoin Topical.Exposure to sunlight may cause skin irritation. Hence, avoid this type of exposure while using Tretinoin Topical.The color and texture of your skin may change on long-term use.Not advisable for women who are or plan to become pregnant.Certain other skin medications such as benzoyl peroxide may inactivate Tretinoin Topical and therefore should not be used simultaneously.
