Uses
Tolvaptan is generally used in treatment of the treatment of low levels of sodium in the blood. Used in treatement of low levels of sodium in the blood, which can result from conditions such as heart failure, cirrhosis and syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone (SIADH).

How to use
Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Tolvaptan, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Tolvaptan is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.
How it works
Tolvaptan is a vasopressin antagonist. It works by blocking the effect of the hormone vasopressin in the body. This increases urine production, reduces the amount of water in the blood and raises the blood sodium level.
