Uses

Azelastine is generally used in treatment of runny nose due to allergies and sneezing
Fluticasone propionate is generally used in treatment of allergy symptoms, asthma, oral lichen planus, severe allergic reactions and skin disorders

How to use

Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. For directions before use, please check the label. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray away from the cartilage diving the two sides of your nose and toward the sides of your nostril. As you spray, breath gently and keep the head upright. Repeat in the other nostril.

Azelastine is belongs to the category of an antihistaminic drug. It makes the condition better by treating the allergy symptoms such as such as swelling, itching, and rashes by blocking the chemical messenger (histamine) & its effects in the body.
Fluticasone propionate is a steroid. It blocks the production of some chemical messengers that cause inflammation, redness, swlling & other allergies in the body thereby improving the condition.

  • Your doctor has prescribed Azelastine to help relieve allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes.It's much less likely to make you feel sleepy than other similar medications.Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as it can cause dizziness and sleepiness.Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication as it may cause increased sleepiness.Stop taking Azelastine at least three days before taking an allergy test as it can affect the test results.Your doctor has prescribed Azelastine to treat a runny or stuffy nose caused by allergies (allergic rhinitis).Since it's a nasal spray, it does not expose the rest of your body to the medicine and hence gives you minimal side effects.Side effects such as nosebleeds, nasal ulceration, and bitter taste may occur after using the spray. These may not be with everyone. Inform your doctor if you have an infection,injury or ulceration in the inside of the nose as Azelastine can increase the risk of nose bleed and ulceration.Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Azelastine can cause dizziness and sleepiness.Do not drink alcohol while taking Azelastine as it may cause increased sleepiness.Any of the side effects other than mentioned above if occur, do consult the treating physician. 
  • Fluticasone propionate is used to treat a variety of conditions that require either reduction of inflammation or suppression of the immune system.Don't use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.Fluticasone propionate can make it harder for you to fight off infections. Notify your doctor if you have any signs of infection such as a fever or sore throat.Side effects such as mood changes or stomach problems can happen when you start taking Fluticasone propionate. Inform your doctor if this bothers you.Do not stop taking Fluticasone propionate suddenly without talking to your doctor first as it may cause worsening of symptoms.
