Description
GMAB PLUS CAPSULE is a unique combination of Alpha Lipoic Acid, Benfotiamine, Zinc, Gamma-Linolenic acid and Methylcobalamin. Treatment with Benfotiamine leads to increased intracellular thiamine diphosphate levels,a cofactor of transketolase. This enzyme directs advanced glycation and lipoxidation end products (AGE's, ALE's) substrates to the pentose phosphate pathway, thus reducing tissue AGEs.Alpha-Lipoic acid or ALA is a naturally occurring compound that's made in the body. It serves vital functions at the cellular level, such as energy production. Alpha-Lipoic acid helps to prevent certain kinds of cell damage in the body, and also restores vitamin levels such as vitamin E and vitamin C. Alpha-lipoic acid breaks down carbohydrates and to make energy for the other organs in the body. Alpha-lipoic acid works as an antioxidant, which means that it might provide protection to the brain under conditions of damage or injury. The antioxidant effects are also helpful in certain liver diseases.Gamma Linolenic acid has proven benefits on diabetic neuropathy. Diabetic patients have abnormalities of essential fatty acid metabolism, and therefore require higher amounts of essential fatty acids.Methylcobalamin normalizes protein transport in nerve cells in people with diabetes. It exhibits inhibitory effects on nerve degeneration in neuropathies induced by drugs. Methylcobalamin accelerates the metabolic pathways of nucleic acids, proteins and lipids through its involvement in the transmethylation reaction; thus, it exerts a repairing effect on injured nerve tissues.
