Uses

Gatifloxacin is generally used in treatment of the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).
Ketorolac is generally used in treatment for pain relief. It relieves pain in conditions like post-operative pain.

How to use

Gatifloxacin is meant for external use only. Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. For directions before use, please check the label. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

How it works

Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic. It prevents the division & repair of baterial cells thereby killing them to make the condition better.
Ketorolac is a belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). It blocks the release of chemical messengers that cause inflamation & pain (redness & swelling) thereby making the condition better.
Q. What does Gatifloxacin treat?
Gatifloxacin treats bacterial eye infection (conjunctivitis or red eye) in adults and children older than 1 year of age

Q. Is Gatifloxacin the same as ofloxacin?
Both Gatifloxacin and ofloxacin belongs to the different class, i.e. Gatifloxacin is second-generation fluoroquinolone whereas ofloxacin is older and first-generation, but their effect may vary upon individual condition or response

No. Ketorolac is not addictive or controlled substance however it can be obtained only on production of valid prescription.

Q. Does Ketorolac expire?
Like all drugs, Ketorolac has an expiry date, which will be printed on the eye drop bottle. Do not use Ketorolac eye drops beyond expiry date.

Long term use may lead to serious complications such as stomach bleeding and kidney problems.It may cause dizziness, drowsiness or visual disturbances. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration.Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Ketorolac as it can cause excessive drowsiness and increase your risk of stomach problems.Inform your doctor if you have a history of heart disease or stroke.Your doctor may regularly monitor your kidney function, liver function and levels of blood components, if you are taking this medicine for long-term treatment.
