Uses

Gatifloxacin Topical is generally used in treatment of the treatment of bacterial infections.
Flurbiprofen is generally used in treatment of pain relief. It relieves pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, gout, muscle pain, low back pain, toothache and painful periods.

How to use

Flurbiprofen is meant for external use only. Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. For directions before use, please check the label. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

Gatifloxacin Topical is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria that cause infections by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing.
Flurbiprofen belongs to the category of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain, fever, inflamation(swelling & redness) to make the condition better .
Q. Does Gatifloxacin Topical contain sulfa?
Gatifloxacin Topical does not contain sulfa. It is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic

Zymaxid is the brand name for gatifloxacin eye solution

Both gatifloxacin and ofloxacin are fluoroquinolone antibiotics and have the same mechanism of killing bacteria. Ofloxacin topical is used to treat eye and ear infections, whereas gatifloxacin is used in the form of eye/ear drops for the treatment of eye and ear infections only. They are also different with respect to the side-effects they cause
