Isosorbide Mononitrate is generally used in treatment of the treatment of chest pain (Angina).

How to use
Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Isosorbide Mononitrate, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Isosorbide Mononitrate is to be taken empty stomach.

Isosorbide Mononitrate is a nitrate. It lowers the heart's workload thereby reducing the heart mucle's need for much blood & oxygen supply.

Place it under the tongue and allow it to dissolve slowly.Eat healthy (low-fat, high-fibre, low-sodium diet), quit smoking, increase your physical activity, watch your weight, and reduce stress.Isosorbide Mononitrate may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.Do not consume alcohol while taking Isosorbide Mononitrate as it may cause increased dizziness.It may cause headaches but usually goes away after a few days of continued treatment. Inform your doctor if it persists.You may develop tolerance to Isosorbide Mononitrate with time, meaning that the same dose may be less effective next time.
