Pentosan polysulfate sodium is generally used in treatment of the treatment of interstitial cystitis.

How to use
Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Pentosan polysulfate sodium, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Pentosan polysulfate sodium is to be taken empty stomach.
How it works
Pentosan polysulfate sodium binds to the urinary bladder wall and prevents the irritating chemicals in the urine from coming in contact with the bladder wall.

- Inform your doctor if you will be undergoing any surgery or also taking anticoagulants such as warfarin sodium, heparin, or high doses of aspirin as Pentosan polysulfate sodium may increase bleeding.You have been prescribed Pentosan polysulfate sodium for relieving bladder pain or discomfort associated with interstitial cystitis.Take it at least 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals.It may take 12-16 weeks of treatment before any effect is seen. Keep taking it as prescribed.Inform your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
