Description
Each capsule contains 100 mg isavuconazole. CRESEMBA is an azole antifungal indicated for patients 18 years of age and older for the treatment of invasive aspergillosis and invasive mucormycosis.
Specimens for fungal culture and other relevant laboratory studies (including histopathology) to isolate and identify causative organism(s) should be obtained prior to initiating antifungal therapy. Therapy may be instituted before the results of the cultures and other laboratory studies are known. However, once these results become available, antifungal therapy should be adjusted accordingly.

How it works
Isavuconazole contains Isavuconazole, an antifungal medicine that blocks the activity of an enzyme that aids in the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane. As a result, the fungus fails to grow and multiply. This kills the infection causing fungus and clears the infection.

- Isavuconazole is used for the treatment of certain fungal infections in adults.
- Inform your doctor if you have or ever had an abnormal heart rate or rhythm. He/she may ask you to get a test to check your heart (ECG) before starting the treatment.
- Inform your doctor if you experience serious hypersensitivity and severe skin reactions after taking Isavuconazole.
- Isavuconazole might interact with certain antibiotics and pain killers. Inform your doctor if you are taking any.
- Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
