Cefprozil is generally used in treatment of the treatment of bacterial infections. It is generally used in treatment for short-term treatment of bacterial infections of urinary tract, skin and soft-tissue, ear, bone, blood, abdomen, genital and lungs (pneumonia). It is typically also used prevent infections after surgery.
Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Cefprozil, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Cefprozil is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.
Cefprozil is an antibiotic. It makes the condition better by preventing the bacteria from forming a bacterial protective covering that's essential for the bacteria to survive, thereby killing them.
