Uses

Methotrexate is generally used in treatment of psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis

How to use

Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Methotrexate, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Methotrexate is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.

How it works

Methotrexate is an immunosuppressant. In rheumatoid arthritis, it works by decreasing the activity of body's immune system. This decreases swelling, reduces pain and stiffness, and improves function. In psoriasis, it works by slowing down the rapid growth of skin cells.
