Uses

Amitriptyline is generally used in treatment for preventive treatment of depression, migraine and neuropathic pain It is generally used in treatment of patients intolerant of or unresponsive to alternative treatment options for depression.

How to use

Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Amitriptyline, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Amitriptyline is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.

Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that improves the condition by increasing the amount of chemical messengers in the brain that are essential for regulating the mood, thereby treating depression. It blocks the passing of pain signals to the brain from c pain (pain from damaged nerves).
