Uses

Chlorocresol is generally used in prevention of infections.

How to use

Clobetasol is meant for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. For directions before use, please check the label. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

How it works

Chlorocresol shows bactericidal activity by causing coagulation of cytoplasmic constituents at higher phenol concentration, which causes irreversible cellular damage.
Clobetasol is a high-potency topical corticosteroid. It acts by reducing the action of chemicals that cause inflamation in the body.
