How to use
Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Chlordiazepoxide, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Chlordiazepoxide is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.Avoid Chlordiazepoxide with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. It is a psychoactive drug that improves the condition by increaseing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger that reduces the abnormal activity of the brain nerve cells.
Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that improves the condition by increasing the amount of chemical messengers in the brain that are essential for regulating the mood, thereby treating depression. It blocks the passing of pain signals to the brain from c pain (pain from damaged nerves).

- If you are taking Chlordiazepoxide for the treatment of insomnia and anxiety, it should not be used more than 4 weeks.It may become less effective over the time.It causes sleepiness or drowsiness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery.Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Chlordiazepoxide, as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness.Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.The addiction / habit-forming potential of Chlordiazepoxide is very high.
- You have been prescribed Amitriptyline for treatment of migraine/ neuropathic pain.Take it at bedtime to avoid feeling sleepy during the day.It may take 4 to 6 weeks for Amitriptyline to start working.Monitor your weight during the treatment as Amitriptyline can cause weight gain and increased appetite.It may change your urine color to blue-green.It may cause sudden drop in your blood pressure.
