How to use
Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Furosemide, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Furosemide is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.
How it works
Amiloride is a diuretic drug. It's a potassium-sparing diuretic that reduces the excessive electrolytes and water from the body without losing potassium thereby lowering the blood pressure and swelling by eliminiating Furosemide is a diuretic. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. In doing so, it causes potassium loss.

However, Torasemide has a long duration of action and is safe to use in patients with renal failure as compared to Furosemide.

Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how Amiloride affects you.It may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.Your doctor will regularly check your kidney function and the amount of potassium in your blood while you're on this drug.Notify your doctor if you experience dizziness, diarrhoea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, swelling in feet, or difficulty breathing.
