Uses
Methyldopa is generally used in treatment of the treatment of high blood pressure. Decreasing high blood pressure lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke.

How to use
Consume this medicine in the dosage and duration as per your doctors advise. While taking Methyldopa, swallow it completely without crushing, breaking or chewing it. Methyldopa is advised to be taken at a fixed time, but may be taken together with food (or) without food.Avoid Methyldopa with high protein meals such as cottage cheese, Swiss cheese, protein powder, eggs and milk.

Methyldopa is an alpha-2 agonist. It makes the condition better by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.
